Privacy and opt-out
Last updated: 8 August 2026
Tenner is an early-stage research project based in Leicester, United Kingdom, run by Christian and Pablo. We are researching how independent hospitality businesses across Leicestershire manage short-notice staffing gaps. This page explains what data we handle during this research and how you can opt out at any time.
Opting out
If you have received a research email from us and would prefer not to hear from us again, simply reply "no thanks" to any of our emails, or write to research@trytenner.com. We will stop contacting you immediately and keep a record only to make sure we never email you again.
What data we use, and where it comes from
- Business contact details (venue name, publicly listed email address and phone number): collected from publicly available sources such as business websites, public social media pages and public registers. We use them solely to invite hospitality businesses to take part in this research.
- Survey responses: analysed together, in aggregate. Individual businesses are not identified in our findings.
- Optional contact details: only if you choose to provide them in the survey, and only used for the purpose you chose them for (receiving research results or information about a potential pilot).
Legal basis
We contact businesses at their corporate addresses on the basis of legitimate interest in conducting bona fide market research (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f), in line with PECR rules for business-to-business email). Optional follow-up contact is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising or add you to marketing lists.
- This website sets no tracking cookies.
Storage and retention
Data is stored on servers located in the European Union, accessible only to Christian and Pablo. Research contact data will be deleted or fully anonymised no later than 12 months after this research phase ends, except for the minimal record needed to honour opt-out requests.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the data we hold about your business, or object to our use of it. Write to research@trytenner.com and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
